Fishing at VVR™
Few spots offer such superb opportunities for fishing as Lake Edison. With the 15 mile per hour speed limit for boats, it's easy to enjoy the peaceful setting. The crystal clear water and legendary trout fishing make this the ultimate destination for avid fishermen looking to hook up a German Brown, Eastern Brook, Rainbow or Golden Trout. The lake head dock is an easy one-mile walk to Quail Meadows and the JMT/PCT.
Enjoy a day of fishing and hiking. Brook and Golden Trout are found in Cold Creek and Mono Creek, which are the two primary streams that feed Edison Lake. Bear Creek is always a popular fishing stream and is a short car ride away.
If you're planning a hike along the JMT/PCT and want to freshen up along the trail, plan to catch our Shuttle Boat for a ride to VVR™. It'll save you a seven mile walk around the lake!
