Quad Fishing Trips Details
Details for the Spring 2010 Guided Quad Trips are:
Dates: Departing every weekend beginning Thursday April 22nd, last trip is Thursday May 20th or until Kaiser Pass road opens to the public.
In the event the road is still closed on Friday May 22nd (Memorial Weekend) we will run a Friday-Monday trip. We will accept sign-ups for a waiting list for this special weekend.
(Kaiser Pass usually opens to the general public for Memorial Weekend).

Pricing:
- Four Day Trips: $489.00* per person (includes USFS Fees & taxes)
Includes four days, three nights lodging, all your meals and boat.
Itinerary: We leave early (4:30 am) on either Thursday or Friday morning from Huntington Lake. Thursday trips come out on Sunday; Friday trips come out on Monday. (Lodging available at lakeshore Resort on Thursday evening - 559-893-3193
Expect to arrive at Vermilion/Edison Lake by 10am, (conditions permitting) in time for a big breakfast and a full day of fishing.
Friday & Saturday (4 day trips only) are another full day of fishing capped off by evening beverages, delightful dinners and of course tales (most of which we believe to be true!)
On our return (Sun/Mon) expect to return to your vehicle by 10:00 am (If you work locally - i.e., Fresno area, you can generally be at work by early afternoon). - Three Day Mid-Week Trips: $359.00* per person (includes USFS Fees & taxes)
Pick any three days between Sunday and Thursday.
Includes three days, two nights lodging, all your meals and boat. .
Note: We HIGHLY recommend the four day trips, as it gives you a full two and a half days of fishing and relaxing
*50% non-refundable deposit required to sign-up, balance due 21 days prior to trip.
Additional trip details and requirements will be provided at sign-up.
Riders provide their own quads.
Rules & Requirements For All Riders:
(a) Short Handled Metal Shovel (Flat Bladed Shovels Work Best)
(b) Water for Trip In & Out. Hydration Packs Work Great.
(c) Nothing May Extend Beyond The Width of Your Quad. No Giant Coolers!!
(d) Do Not Position or Mount Anything that Would Block You From Easily Dismounting Your Quad in the Event of a Rollover. I.e. Fishing Poles Attached From Front To Back.
(e) Do Not Overload Your Quad…. Lighter is Better. Remember we are Traveling on Crusted Snow. Pushing Your Quad Up and Over Kaiser Pass is Just Not Fun.
The Guide Will Check All Quads Prior To Departing For Excess Weight.
(Cases Of Beer Weigh A Lot) Do Not Bring More Then Two – 6 Packs Per Quad.
(f) Lower Quad Tire Pressure to ¾ - 1.5 Lbs. Do this Prior to Friday Morning. The Group Does Not Want to Wait for You and it is Bloody Cold at 5:00 in the Morning!
(f) Each Group Should Bring at Least One Portable Air Compressor to Air Up Tires When We Hit the Asphalt above Mono Hot Springs.
(g) Each Group Should Carry Two or more Tow Straps.
(h) Personal Liquor as We Only Carry Beer Wine & Soda.
(i) Fresh Supplies for Your Group’s Trip will be Distributed among the Riders. (Meat, Vegetables etc.) Expect this, so Again, “Do Not Overload Your Quad”!
(j) For Your Ride in & out Wear Waterproof or Wind Resistant Clothing. (Winter Gear) Please no cotton, wear something breathable and something that has good wicking abilities, you can work up a sweat real fast when moving around in the snow. Bring Change of Clothes & Fishing Gear For Camp. Sunscreen, Sunglasses Etc.
(k) Snowshoes are always a good option to carry in case you have to walk any distance, you can rent snowshoes at Sierra Summit Ski Resort. (Rental Shop – Main Lodge), or through REI and or Herb Bauer Sporting Goods. Rentals run around $15.00.
Note: Weather Can Delay Our Departure from Edison Lake so be Prepared to Take An Extra Day Off From Work.
