Question:  How do I make reservations for the Vermillion Valley Campground at Edison Lake?

Answer:  Reservations for the Vermillion Valley Campground at Edison Lake are made by calling the Forest Service at 877 444-6777 and mentioning Vermilion Valley Campground in the High Sierras.  The overflow camping is located at Mono Creek.  You may also make reservations via ReserveUSA.

There are 33 sites, all a short walk to the beach and lake. And, within walking distance of the resturant and store, showers and laundry at VVR. This campground is absolutely beautiful with Jeffrey Pine and Tamaracks for shade.

Perfect for car camping, tents, pop-ups and small trailers.


Question:  Where can I get a Wilderness Permit?

Answer:  Wilderness Permits are issued by the Ranger Station in Prather.  Please call 559.855-5355 for further information.


Question:   Do you sell fishing licenses?

Answer:  No, we do not sell fishing licenses.  You may purchases licenses in Prather, or at Mono Hot Springs.



Question:  How high is the lake this year?

Answer:  The lake is almost full, and rising at the rate of 18"-24" per day (as of June 1st).
